Beautifully handcrafted cuff with a rich bead motif. Ivory seed beads are hand wired onto a hinged cuff. The ornament has 5 prong set deep red glass cabochons, set around a central glass flower with a single ruby Swarovski crystal rhinestone in the center.  Russian gold plated filigree mounts have a warm look with a lovely patina are topped with red and ivory seed bead accents and red Swarovski crystal rhinestones, depicting flowers and leaves. It is signed on an oval plaque on the back of the filigree mount. A fantastic and dramatic collectors piece with layers of beadwork...

This is a design by Mark Mercy who was a designer with the Stanley Hagler Co. Stanley Hagler started in the 1950's, his first piece, a pink flower covered bangle, settled on the wrist of the Duchess of Windsor, and his jewellery was followed by Vogue and featured in New York fashion shows throughout the 50's and 60's. He was a one man operation until 1979 when Mark Mercy joined the company as an apprentice. They worked together until Mr Hagler died in 1996 and Mark Mercy continues to design under this brand today. With intricate and lavish designs, Stanley Hagler costume jewellery is highly sought after.

Bracelets featuring rhinestones set onto an expandable metal base became popular during the 1950s, and we think they retain their glamorous and distinctive style today! Although the overall construction of the bracelets tended to be a standard one, their designs varied in terms of the number of rows of rhinestones.This one features three rows of clear rhinestones prong set onto a silvertone metal base. The interior of the bracelet reveals the zig-zagging mechanism which allows it to expand and contract. The words 'Empire Made' can be seen on one interior section. This bracelet has stood the test of time well, and continues to catch the eye with its sparkling stones!

This box link style has the mod look known of the 1980’s.  This silver tone vintage bracelet is another beautiful and timeless piece by Napier. It has a five row open link design and is lovely and fluid. The fold over clasp works perfectly and is marked “Napier Pat. 4.774.743”which dates the clasp to 1989.

Most, but not all, Napier jewelry is simple, lacking fancy ornamentation and embellished glitter of other costume jewelry. The designs are modern and simple in basic geometric forms and floral motifs. Napier closed in 1999. Some unmarked pieces of jewelry on cards stating the Napier name are still being sold in some stores today. This is a buyer beware as these pieces of jewelry are not being made by the original makers of Napier quality pieces.
