A magnificent art deco revival brooch signed by Ermani Bulatti. It is created with layered bronze and brass tone metal topped with black and grey marbeled plastic and mother of pearl inlay. Beautifully handcrafted cuff with a rich bead motif. Ivory seed beads are hand wired onto a hinged cuff. The ornament has 5 prong set deep red glass cabochons, set around a central glass flower with a single ruby Swarovski crystal rhinestone in the center.  Russian gold plated filigree mounts have a warm look with a lovely patina are topped with red and ivory seed bead accents and red Swarovski crystal rhinestones, depicting flowers and leaves. This is a design by Mark Mercy who was a designer with the Stanley Hagler Co. Stanley Hagler started in the 1950's, his first piece, a pink flower covered bangle, settled on the wrist of the Duchess of Windsor, and his jewellery was followed by Vogue and featured in New York fashion shows throughout the 50's and 60's. He was a one man operation until 1979 when Mark Mercy joined the company as an apprentice. They worked together until Mr Hagler died in 1996 and Mark Mercy continues to design under this brand today. With intricate and lavish designs, Stanley Hagler costume jewellery is highly sought after.

Stunning rich purple handcrafted necklace with a rich bead motif. There is a central cluster of beads hanging in a cascade of dangles and 2 smaller ones that hang to either side. Between these hang 2 maple leaf shapes with small beads layered over brass filigree bases, with a central, prong set faceted rhinestone. These are all hung on 2 layers of beads that finish in beaded brass filigree flower shapes. Finally, these are connected to a beaded extender and hook. It is signed on an oval plaque behind one of the maple leaves and directly on the hook. A fantastic piece in a wonderful colour...

Miriam Haskell founded a boutique in the McAlpin Hotel in New York, 1926. Miriam Haskell was never the designer, she was a superior businesswoman, the person who had the vision for the company. She may have designed early on, but she hired Frank Hess, who designed for the company until 1960.

Miriam Haskell is known primarily for beaded jewelry. It was about beautiful beads and execution for a sophisticated audience. Nature was the primary inspiration for most of Haskell’s designs. If you look at the stamped pieces, they tend to be a little flowery-looking, with butterflies, an assortment of floral motifs, leaves and vines. Beads would be layered in a very sophisticated way, and the patterns in which they were wired or strung would be very consistent. Well thought out and composed of quality materials, they were meant to be durable. Pieces were handmade, mostly with glass beads from Czechoslovakia, France, Italy, and Germany, the findings and stampings all came from Providence, Rhode Island. Miriam Haskell designs were loved by the jetsetters, Lucille Ball and Joan Crawford were big fans...

Beautifully handcrafted necklace with a rich bead motif. The pendant consists of 3 main sections, each has a cluster of silver seed beads, hand wired onto Russian gold plated filigree mounts, topped with peacock seed bead accents and Swarovski crystal rhinestones, depicting flowers and leaves.  In the center of the main pendant is a large sapphire confetti cabochon stone. Between each pendant is a blue faceted glass bead. The pendants are connected to faceted blue glass bead necklace, with a central section of 8 beads dangling from 8 faceted pearlised beads. Finally, these are connected to a filigree fish hook clasp. This necklace looks as wonderful from the reverse as from the front. It is signed on an oval plaque on the back of one of the pendants. A fantastic and dramatic piece with lots of wonderful movement...

It has curved raised fine baguette rhinestones in graduating sizes ending in round faceted rhinestones, linking oval shapes, consisting of two rows of faceted rhinestones, ending in an extender made of rhinestones finishing in a hook with a  larger rhinestone set at the end of it and a baguette rhinestone at the other end.
