Grand and beautiful Chinese Red Lacquered Papier Mache Marriage Box, Circa 19th. The box lid is decorated with Dragons and pheasants which are a sign of good luck for the married couple. The gilt detail in the decoration is quite gorgeous. The sides have an unusual scolloped shape with further decoration adding to its country house look. A beautiful piece that would look stunning on a coffee table or an amazing gift for a couple's wedding present.
