Each of these antique scroll weights has a highly detailed lion and pheasant motif carved in bone with flat carve flower bud panels at each end. The panels are set in a hefty dark hard wood.

These scroll weights would have been used by Chinese scholars and brush artists to keep the materials they were working on nice and flat.
