A rare and original 100 year old Skull Seat with the legend 'CAMBRIDGE 1925' hand painted in gold letters with a black drop shadow to the seat area.
The seat section remains still attached to it's under side slide roller mechanism with brass wheels. We are told that it's an original seat from the Cambridge boat that took part in the 1925 Oxford Cambridge boat race, but there is no documentation to back this claim up. Still, at 100 years old it's a wonderful piece of rowing history to hang on your wall.
The 87th Boat Race took place on 6 April 1935 and was won by Cambridge by four and a half lengths in a time of 19 minutes 48 seconds. The race was umpired by former Oxford rower Robert Bourne.
