About Us

IntoVintage was founded in 2011 by Allison Spink with her husband Nick always around in the background adding an extra pair of hands shifting and moving the heavy items!  She continues a long line of family passion in antiques and unusual items.

Nick's grandfather Jack, a master fibrous plasterer, was responsible for some of the finest decorative ceilings in the country. He worked on prestigious projects from Leeds Castle to Buckingham Palace. Later in life, he became a director of the famous Southend Kursaal Pleasure Palace.

Jack had an eye for the wonderful, designing the Kursaal Flyer train and the amazing Golden Hind attraction, both sadly no longer exist. His house was like the Victoria and Albert Museum, with amazing ceilings and packed to the rafters with interesting objects picked up on his travels.

Nick's father Roger had an appreciation of the interesting and beautiful, having worked for years in the world of interior and fashion magazines.

He went on to open SPINK, a well- known antique shop in Leigh on Sea, England.

By sourcing and selling objects that only Roger seemed to be able to find, it drew clientele from all over the country. and this is where Allison started getting involved with the business before taking her own store online.

Allison with a background in design and interiors and Nick a creative in the advertising industry, carry forward the family passion of sourcing and renovating. Mixing together an eclectic mix of cool, bespoke objects.

We hope you enjoy your visit to IntoVintage.com.
