Traditionally hung in cottages in the North East of England in the late 18th to early 19th Centuries, these lustreware plaques were designed to remind you of your maker! This example has the words 'PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD'. Above the main message in smaller print reads 'In thee oh Lord do I put my trust. Let me never be confounded'.
Finished in a beautiful pink with a lustre sheen. It has its original copper hanging loop and in overall perfect condition.
