A superb oil painting of a Welsh lake scene by
British Impressionist & Modern painter
David Hewitt (1878-1939).
Born in Lancashire he is listed as being a member of the Liverpool Sketching Club, St Helens Sketching Club, and exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery, Royal Academy, Royal Cambrian Academy, and Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. Several of his landscape paintings are held in the public collection at St Helens Council, Liverpool England and the Welsh National Library.
