A Georgian Grain Measure. Constructed from yew wood with metal strapping. Marked with the Georgian Crown and the word 'GALLON' and the numeral '17'.
These vessels were used to measure out grain in general stores and grain merchants. Today they make a great container for all of your kitchen utensils.
