An antique English 19th Century, toleware spice container, internally divided into six compartments with its original central nutmeg grater. A domed lid and small brass final on the top with a latch to the front that would have been locked with a small padlock to keep the expensive spices safe inside. Original black and gold decoration on the lid.

COMPOSITION:  Toleware

DIMENSIONS (H) 13cm   (Diam) 18cm 

CONDITION: This piece is in nicely patinated condition. There is no obvious repair or restoration.
