The rectangular seat features a central hand-carved aperture and is secured with traditional pegged joints, while the sturdy splayed legs add to its robust, utilitarian character. 

Showing numerous marks, scratches, dents and signs of age consistent with years of practical use, the stool has a wonderful time-worn appearance and would make an attractive decorative piece or foot rest in a traditional, country or farmhouse-style interior.
