Nice late 19th to early 20th century intricately hand carved Chinese brush pot in a beautiful light greenish grey marbling. A spray of delicately three dimensional carved open flowers, buds and leaves sit up against the brush pot area.
The carving is in wonderful condition with all flowers and petals intact.
When in use, brushes that had be rinsed out, would have been put with their handles down so that the bundles of brush hairs would keep their shapes and points.
Would look great on a desk or used as somewhere special to keep your toothbrush!
