This original antique printers proof advertising Lazenby's, has the most wonderful colours and subject matter. A steaming tureen and bowl of soup are surrounded by Lezenby's products, including a jar of Ox Tail soup, a box of Soup Squares, including Green Pea, a tin of Tomato Soup and marvellous can of Mock Turtle Soup, do they even sell that these days?
The Lazenby company was established in 1776 in London making fish sauce and game sauce, they went on to produce soups, pastes and pickles it was bought by the Cross & Blackwell company in 1919.
Due to the subject matter within the print, we are dating it to 1908 when the company was based in Trinity Street, London.
A very nice original print and very rare surviver that would look great framed and hung in the kitchen.
