We are not entirely sure what this Late Victorian rack/shelf was used for. What we do know is that it's finished in a beautiful, original dark brick red paint with wonderful golden numbers hand painted on the front.
It's scratch built from pine with each of the four shelves having 'V' shaped notches cut in above the numbers. The numbers starting from 1 go through to 50 then start again finishing at 12. It may have been used for keys perhaps, or even some king of tools. It would look fantastic in a Kitchen!
