Uber cool Vintage Advertising Display Jet for BKS Air Transport Ltd. This came from the local Southend Airport and would have been displayed in the BKS Flight Office.
BKS Air Transport was formed in 1952 and started operations in Feb 1952 as BKS Aerocharter. The name originated from the the initials of the 3 owners, James Barnaby, Thomas Keegan & Cyril Stevens. The airline’s name was changed to BKS Air Transport at the end of 1953 and was renamed from BKS Air Transport to Northeast Airlines on 01 Nov 1970. They were later merged in to British Airways.
